A luxury liner that offers accommodations
ranging from a three-bedroom "garden villa" to inside cabins
will be christened in New York in December and begin weekly round trips in
May from New York to Florida and the Bahamas.
The new Norwegian Dawn will be the only ship in the industry to make
such New York runs, made possible by the ship's 25-knot speed, according
to its owner, Norwegian Cruise Line. After its inauguration, the ship will
begin regularly scheduled Caribbean runs from Miami on Dec. 14, then move
to New York in May.
